🌊 January – March: Wahoo, Tuna & Winter Pelagics

• Wahoo

• Sailfish

• Blackfin tuna

• Kingfish

These cooler months bring fast, aggressive predatory fish close to the island—especially Wahoo and Tuna. Sailfish sightings increase through February and March.

🎣 April – June: Peak Cozumel Fishing Season for Billfish

What’s running:

• White Marlin (high season)

• Blue Marlin

• Sailfish

• Mahi-Mahi (Dorado)

This is the best time of year for trophy fishing. Billfish move through in big numbers, and Mahi follow the sargassum lines. If you want your best shot at Marlin, late spring is it.
